Former EastEnders star Jonny Labey has explored yet another career path seven years after leaving the show.
The actor, who starred as Paul Coker on the Square for over a year before being brutally killed off in a violent homophobic attack, has dropped his first single as a musician.
Taking to his Instagram page, the soap actor shared a reel of a short clip taken from his debut single’s music video.
The song, entitled Keeps Me Up, features an artist that goes by the artist alias King Khamelion, who also appears to be new to the music scene as his previous work can only be found on Soundcloud.

In the clip, Jonny could be seen walking smoothly to the beat of his song, and enjoying the night life alongside who is presumed to be King Khamelion.
The actor revealed in the caption that the song had been the first registered track of a “three year journey” and that it was now “all coming our way”.
The new drop was well received as fans and friends flooded his comment section with various emojis, indicating their excitement.
Jonny uploaded a series of photographs a few days later which included a picture of himself wrapped in a red blanket on the beach, a snap of himself enjoying a huge pint, and an older man wearing a bucket hat tanning on the beach.
“Some close call single release art,” the BBC star wrote in the caption.
A person commented: “Last one was a banger,” to which the up and coming singer replied: “Might have to clarify it’s not me… yet.”
The soap star has been keeping busy during the summer, as he also took to his Instagram to reveal he had just finished writing his first short film entitled We All Scream.
Jonny admitted his project was based on his own “true moment in life” before asking for help to finance his movie by sharing a GoFundMe link.
Earlier in the year, the actor had also announced he had become a qualified barber by posting his diploma on his social media.
“No idea what prompted this journey initially but after considering it for a while, I’m so glad I did,” he wrote.
