Jade Goody would have won Strictly Come Dancing if she’d had the chance, says widower

Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to our screens in just a few weeks time and EastEnders’ Bobby Brazier has already raced out in front as bookies’ favourite celeb to win.

With his talented acting abilities already recognised by fans up and down the country, the soap star has more than a fighting chance of winning the BBC One dance competition which starts next month.

And it’s fair to say no one would be backing the 20-year-old Freddie Slater star more than his proud mum Jade, says her widower Jack Tweed.

Now, the supportive stepdad has revealed to The Sun that the late Big Brother legend would have won the star-studded competition if she had the chance.

He told the outlet that Jade was quite the Strictly superfan who was glued to the show since its conception in 2004, five years before she died from cervical cancer.

The star said: “Jade absolutely loved dancing shows like Strictly. Anything Jade put her mind to, she would be amazing at it.

“She would have won Strictly if she’d had the chance, and Bobby’s just like her. Whatever he puts his mind to, he achieves it.”

Jack was with the Big Brother legend for four years before her untimely death in 2009 at the age of 27.

He went on to reveal that his late mother would have been full of pride at her son’s impressive achievements and would have backed him all the way on his Strictly journey.

The star added: “Jade would be over-the-moon proud of Bobby and all he’s achieved. For someone so young he has already achieved so much.

“Bobby has modelled for Dolce & Gabbana and all the top brands. Then he went on to get a job on EastEnders and no he’s appearing on Strictly.

“Seeing Bobby grow into such a nice young man has been a lovely thing to see. He is absolutely smashing it. Jade would be bursting with pride.”

Back then, the Saturday night BBC1 show rarely featured a reality TV star compete on the dance show – and Jack thinks Jade missed her chance on the long-running show.
