Nancy Frangione, who was best known for her role in Another World, has sadly died aged 70 years old.
The actress passed away last Thursday (17 August) in Barnstable, Massachusetts.
The cause of death has yet to be revealed and tributes have flooded in for the incredible star.

One fan took to Twitter and wrote: “My condolences to Nancy Frangione’s family. I enjoyed watching her on AMC. AMC was one of my favorite soaps. Tara was one of my favorite characters. Her family is in my prayers! God bless them at this time. R.I.P.!”
Another penned: “I always thought she was among the loveliest actresses in daytime serials. Rest in peace, #NancyFrangione (“Another World,” “All My Children,” “One Life to Live”).”

While a third person wrote: “Oh damn. Nancy Frangione’s Cecile was such an effervescent schemer and a delight to watch. One of a kind–I can’t think of anyone like her.”
Nancy was what was known in the industry as a “soap hopper” and appeared on multiple daytime soap opera shows.
The star made her acting debut in the late 1970s on ABC’s All My Children, portraying the beloved role of Tara Martin.
She left the role two years later in 1979 and then appeared as the scheming villainess Cecile DePoulignac on Another World, the role which she was most famous for.
In addition to other soap operas, such as One Life to Live, where she filled in for an ailing Andrea Evans as Tina Lord in 1985.
She also appeared on nighttime television series such as The Nanny (as Fran’s cousin Marsha), Highway to Heaven, Matlock, and Buck Rogers in the 25th Century.

The soap actress was married once to her Another World co-star Christopher Rich.
They got married in 1982 but sadly divorced after over a decade of marriage in 1996. The pair share one daughter, Mariel Rich.
