Leeds Festival-goers have been left “disgusted” as one performer failed to turn up for their set – and the festival grounds.
US rapper Lil TJay had been scheduled to perform on Main Stage West at 4:35pm on Friday (August 25), however fans were met with a message that he wasn’t there instead.
The 22-year-old had seemingly gone missing, with festival bosses revealing they’d been unable to get in touch with him.

A message was displayed on huge screens by the stage that read: “Unfortunately, Lil TJay hasn’t arrived on site and we haven’t been able to contact him. We hope he will arrive soon.”
Festival-goers were left furious and they rushed to social media to share their upset.
One person told the rapper on X: “Disgusting you didn’t turn up to Leeds! Saw a lot of your fans who were buzzing to see you. If that’s how you treat your fans f*** you bro disgusting.”
Another, who appears to have been hoping to see him in Reading, said: “Lil TJay didn’t show to Leeds? Nah man if he does that Sunday…”
Luckily, all was quickly resolved – if fans had a weekend ticket, that is.
On Saturday morning (August 26), festival organisers announced that Lil TJay would be playing a “surprise” performance at midday, while his Reading performance on Sunday (August 27) would go ahead as planned.
However some fans were still disappointed, as it’s believed he was given just 30 minutes to perform and was cut off as he wanted to play another song.
On Friday evening, Lil TJay shared a post on Instagram with his 9million followers that showed he was in Manchester, rather than Leeds.
He told his fans: “Everyone that popped up, I missed the set, sorry.”
The rapper added: “Show me some love tomorrow.”
However, he didn’t appear to provide an explanation as to why he’d missed his set.
