Hollywood wannabe woke up with ’10 men’ in her bed as she reveals gross industry secrets

US MasterChef star Paige Jimenez said she once woke up with “10 men” in her bed in a ploy arranged by her agent when trying to break into Hollywood.

The model and influencer moved to Los Angeles when she was just 17 years old, keen to become an actress – but she was soon put off by the ugly side of the industry.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star, Paige explained just how certain roles get cast, and it’s far from glitz and glamour.

“I moved to Hollywood when I was 17. I had a manager for acting, but it wasn’t really going anywhere. I didn’t like how creepy the industry could be, especially in Los Angeles.

“I’m not going to name names, but I was very young, I had no idea what I was doing, and I was tied to a manager who… I remember waking up at the Chateau Marmont with 10 men in my bed, that my manager had gotten for me.

“I had to deal with little remarks about my physique, people making jokes about, ‘Oh, she’s good to f**k ‘John’ tonight’ or something. Guys trying to get girls overly drunk.

“This is a problem in America and across the globe in general, but in Hollywood it’s crazy to see these beautiful, talented girls and guys go through this stuff because of powerful people with a lot of money.

“These people are used to being the star of the show themselves because they’re so beautiful, they have all these amazing attributes. So they’re not used to that, and it’s a weird dynamic where you’re scared – because you don’t want to lose your job or miss out on an audition.

“There’s a hierarchy of who can be the most closely knit to the casting director, the manager, the talent agent.

“I’m from Hawaii so I have a strong belief that if you don’t like me, you don’t like me, I’m not doing anything else to sway that opinion. I was taught to treat others as though they’re just regular people.”

Thankfully Paige’s life changed for good during a chance encounter in Hollywood.

“I was walking on the street one day and this random man came up to me. It was almost like fate.

“He said, ‘Hey, do you cook?’ And I was like, ‘Not professionally, but I love cooking, it’s my favourite thing to do.’

“He wanted me to drive to San Diego the next day and audition for MasterChef. And I got it.”

Now Paige is achieving her Hollywood dreams regardless, helping her boyfriend Leandre Sanders with his new Netflix documentary Skategoat starring Tony Hawk.
