Katie Price thought police visit to home was Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway gag

Katie Price has recalled the hilarious moment she thought a police knock on the door was part of a prank by Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.

The incident occurred during her marriage to Peter Andre as the pair were preparing for a night out, but it soon became apparent it wasn’t a wind-up by the ITV co-stars.

OnlyFans star Katie, 45, told Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast that she was so used to fans and celebrities playing tricks back then that she presumed this instance was no different.

“Peter went, ‘Oh Kate the police are here,’ and I said, ‘Tell them to come back later we’re going for a curry’,” she joked. “He said, ‘They said it’s pretty serious, come down.’ They weren’t in uniform. So I said, ‘How do I know you’re really the police?'”

She continued: “I phone [manager] Clare and said we’ve got police officers here and they reckon they’ve got something serious to tell us. I thought it was Ant and Dec doing a prank on us.”

“We’re in the room and they went, ‘Right, our intelligence tell us there is a group…’ They showed us some pictures, and I said, ‘I don’t know them.’ But apparently they had been meeting up in the supermarket and they were going to create a car accident to get the kids.”

In a more serious chat earlier in the show, meanwhile, the former glamour model admitted that therapy has made her realise men are the “destroyer” in her life.

The mother-of-five said some her past relationships have been a result of her “impulsivity”, something that is partly to blame for her three failed marriages – to Andre, Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler.

“This is the trouble, and even with in therapy I’ve realised, men are my destroyer in life,” she explained.

“I just want that perfect… I’m such a family girl. I just want to be married, settled and get on with my career. But if you look at my past… they haven’t really… and part of it’s my fault, being impulsive and marrying… because I’m searching for that perfect… there’s no such thing as perfect.”

In her own podcast this week, meanwhile, Katie pondered a new venture in which she’s considering helping a recently released murderer.

She said “He wrote me a letter, he’s just come out of prison, and he’s reached out to me because he wants to tell his story but wants to me to do it with him, like a TV show or something.

“I’m not joking. He [left his] number and everything. He’s in his 70s. I’ve got Liz from Channel 4 to ring him to do a documentary. He just seems like he’s got a really interesting story.

“He was telling me in the letter about his childhood, and I always say it goes back to childhood, but Liz said she spoke to him, and I’ll find out today because Channel 4 are coming here.”
