BBC Breakfast’s Naga Muchetty has hit out at a cruel troll after they branded the broadcaster’s outfit “sleazy”.

During Saturday’s visit to the BBC studios, the 48-year-old reporter woke up the nation alongside her co-host Charlie Stayt for the sixth instalment of the week.

Throughout the show, the presenting duo discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines this morning including the rise in school closures and the concerning rise in botched cosmetic procedures.

But one rude commenter was quick to put a dampener on the morning news programme after they hit out at her ensemble online.

The TV star appeared on the long-running show wearing a black silk dress which featured a large collar and buttons down the front, secured with a matching belt.

She accessorised the ensemble with a series of silver rings which complimented her stud earring and added a full face of glamorous makeup.

Naga rocked a touch of blush on the apples of her cheeks and a touch of bronzer on the apples of her cheeks.

The starlet added a soft wash of smoky eyeshadow which she paired with a thin band of winged eyeliner and lashings of black mascara on her fluttery lashes.

To complete the look, the newsreader added a swipe of dark red lipstick to her lips as she discussed the latest stories in the news.

Taking to the social media platform X – formerly known as Twitter – one rude user penned: “What is @TVNaga01 wearing?? Looks like she’s come straight to work from a night out at a sleazy single’s nightclub…”

But the TV star was quick to hit back with a witty response, replying: “Ssssssh… don’t tell anyone. (btw – it’s called a dress).”

Naga was soon praised by her followers for her reply to the troll, with several coming to her defence, as one person wrote: “What is it with people they have to criticise what people wear.”

Another agreed: “I LOVE what you wear Naga!!! ALWAYS so selfish” as a third echoed: “I love all your outfits. The most stylish presenter on TV and the most articulate.”
