Joe Jonas has reportedly filed for divorce from his wife Sophie Turner with documents claiming their marriage is “broken.”
According to the Daily Mail, the 34-year-old Jonas Brothers singer has submitted legal paperwork to formally conclude his marriage with Game of Thrones actress Sophie, 27.
He allegedly filed the divorce in a Miami Dade County courtroom on Tuesday (September 5), just hours after news emerged suggesting an unexpected divorce was on the horizon for the two celebrities.

It’s said Joe, who is a parent to two children with the British actress, has expressed in the documents that his marriage with Sophie is “irretrievably broken.”

He has allegedly outlined proposals for shared custody of their two young daughters – three-year-old Willa and their one-year-old daughter, whose name has yet to be disclosed.
Sophie and Joe began dating in 2016, got engaged in October 2017, and exchanged vows on 1 May 2019, in Las Vegas.
They later held an elaborate wedding in Paris, France.
Startling their millions of fans, TMZ reported this past weekend that the couple is calling it quits.

The outlet also indicated that Joe had sought legal counsel and was on the brink of initiating divorce proceedings.
TMZ reported: “Joe had his representatives communicate with and seek advice from at least two divorce lawyers in the Los Angeles area, and he is on the verge of filing divorce documents to terminate his marriage to Sophie.”
Furthermore, the outlet’s sources alluded to “serious issues” plaguing the couple for at least six months.

What’s more, insiders also alleged to TMZ that the couple, who have been together since 2016, have had “serious problems” for the last six months.
A source also claimed Joe has been looking after their 2 young kids “pretty much all the time” even when he was on tour with his band.
Both Joe and Sophie have been seen out and about at events in recent weeks, but the Disney Channel alum has reportedly not been wearing his wedding ring.

When questioned about the state of the marriage, a representative for Sophie refrained from confirming or denying the news, stating: “We do not make comments about the personal lives of our clients.”
The couple, who tied the knot in a Las Vegas, have also recently sold their mansion in Miami – a year after buying the pad.
