Hollywood icon Hugh Jackman has separated from his wife of 30 years, Deborra-Lee Jackman.
The pair confirmed the sad news via People magazine, issuing a statement that read: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

It went on: “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The pair said the joint statement is the “sole one they will make”.
The Australian former power couple share two children together – son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18.
Both were adopted after Deborra suffered two heartbreaking miscarriages.
The pair initially met on set of Aussie show Correlli, and Hugh went on to design his own engagement ring for his fiancée, with a translated inscription which read: “We dedicate our union to a greater source.”
The pair have been very candid about their love life in the past, with Deborra admitting to Town and Country: “I like him all ways: chubby, muscly, skinny. It’s like I’m always having affairs. I like him best clean shaven.”
As for Hugh, he admitted in 2015 that the character of Blackbeard in the live action Peter Pan was the ‘sexiest’ his wife ever thought he’d played.
As he reminisced about the film, the actor cheekily admitted: “From my wife’s perspective, she said: ‘I think this is one of the sexiest characters you’ve played.’

“It was a good summer, last year. Here they talk about the summer ‘76, I talk about the summer of 2014.”
They’ve also admitted to roleplaying in the bedroom, with Deborra confessing to Page Six: “I was always saying I’d marry somebody sensible, like a stockbroker. So, he dresses up for that fantasy for me occasionally”
A few years later, Jackman cheekily confirmed the rumours, adding: “If I want it to be a great night out, I’ll wear a suit… and I’ll start talking about stocks and bonds. Then I know I’m going to get lucky.”
