‘Strictly was on my bucket list but they won’t have me’, says Loose Women’s Coleen Nolan

Coleen Nolan says she’d love to take part in Strictly Come Dancing but has never been asked by BBC bosses.

The 58-year-old presenter has appeared on several reality shows over the years and even won Celebrity Big Brother back in 2017.

However, there’s one programme she’d like to tick off her wish list.

“I’ve given up and erased that one because it’s never going to happen. They just won’t and never have.

“Knowing my luck they’ll come to me when I’m 85 or something and I can’t dance or move.”

She added: “It’s the one challenging reality show I’ve always wanted to do ever since it started but I did Dancing on Ice but it’s a thing at Strictly that if you did Dancing on Ice you can’t do Strictly.

“Had I known that that I probably wouldn’t have done Dancing on Ice although that changed my life to be fair.

Daily Star has reached out to the BBC for a comment.

Mother of three Coleen took part in ITV’s Dancing on Ice back in 2009 with professional skater Stuart Widdall and came fourth place.

Speaking about what other projects she’d like to take on in the future, the TV star said she’d love to work with animals like the late Paul O’Grady.

“I’m obsessed with animals. I’d love to do a show with animals. Every time I met Paul O’Grady I’d go ‘you are living my best life’.

Coleen is going on tour across the UK next year

“I’d also like to do a podcast with my kids, or at least my eldest son, because I think it’s good having a family one, hearing the different generations opinions of stuff.

“As a family, there’s no hold bars. You can say what you want, when you want. I think that would be good fun.”

Fans will be able to see Coleen laid bare next year as she brings her Naked tour across the country.

Fans can expect tears, laughter and plenty of singing as she’s set to take audience members back to her first long of performing by singing a selection of her favourite songs which have become the soundtrack to her life.

Coleen Nolan’s 16-date Naked tour kicks off in Blackpool on February 9 and ends in Swansea on March 28. For tickets head to www.coleentour.com
