Dolph Lundgren burst onto the scene in Hollywood as Russian superboxer Ivan Drago in the hit movie Rocky 4 and has continued to carve a path as an all-action actor in the Expendales films.
But as his star was beginning to rise, offscreen so was something else. The Swedish actor, director and martial artist opened up about his steamy romps at the height of his fame, which he said saw him enjoying wild parties with his megastar singer girlfriend Grace Jones.
“On occasions”, he claims fivesomes took place, sometimes with his partner, and sometimes without. With all this nocturnal activity, the strongman actor moaned the sex romps would leave him exhausted before he had to go film scenes with Sylvester Stallone. And all the while his parents believed he was in the US studying for a degree in chemical engineering.

The 6ft 5in star, who appears in The Expendables 4, or Expend4bles, said at most it was “four or five girls”.
“[Group sex] happened on occasions, with or without Grace,” Lundgren told The Sun in a 2018 interview.
“Sometimes she would bring a girlfriend home and then I’d have to get up for work the next day and that kind of thing. I’d say at the most it was four or five girls, perhaps.”
He added: “It’s great in theory but when you have to get up and fight [Stallone] in the morning it’s not such a good thing.”

Lundgren, originally from Sweden, met Jones while he was studying at the University of Sydney – striking up a relationship, which ended up with him as her bodyguard. He moved to New York with Jones, moving into her apartment, and intended to study on a scholarship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
While living the highlife with his megastar girlfriend, he ended up quitting his studies to focus on his acting career. Jones gave him his big break as she helped him secure a minor role as a KGB agent named Venz in James Bond movie View to a Kill.
Lundgren revealed his strict military dad Karl had no idea what he was up to until he saw an outrageous photo in the press. Photographers snapped him and Jones wearing kinky leathers while partying at New York club Studio 54.
He said: “He opened the paper one day and saw me. I guess he fell off his armchair and thought, ‘What the hell?’”
Lundgren added he hung out with a scene where people would regularly do “heavy drugs” – but denied taking them himself due to his strict training.
He said: “This was before drugs were a menace to society, it was just rich people who were having fun at Studio 54. They weren’t breaking into cars stealing s**t and killing people so nobody cared.
“You could do drugs openly in a restaurant in New York in the Eighties and nobody would say anything, not even the waiters.”
Now 65, Lundgren has starred in more than 50 films and is known as one of the kings of the action genre.
He has played Marvel hero The Punisher, cartoon muscleman He-Man and has formed part of the action ensemble cast in The Expendables franchise
