BBC Breakfast made for awkward viewing on Saturday morning (September 23), as Naga Munchetty jokingly shut down her co-host Ben Thompson.
During the popular news programme, Ben made a comment on a report regarding a couple who sailed around the world. He then appeared to question how they would manage if they ever had an argument while sailing.
He said: “Fascinating about that discussing what happens if you have a row on that six-year trip around the world. Because there’s not many doors to slam. You wouldn’t really get very far so…”

Chiming in quickly on the matter, Naga shared her thoughts. She quipped: “A bit like sitting on this sofa for four hours isn’t it.”
Looking in her direction, Ben replied: “Let’s not go there. No escape.” The newsreader then giggled and said: “We would never have a row.”
Naga responded: “Be quiet.” She then later added: “I told you to be quiet,” in a stern tone.
The news comes after Ben was forced to ask Naga if she was alright on Friday’s show when they aired a clip of a man getting hit by a pigeon. Laughing at the moment, Naga apologised to viewers while wiping tears away from her eyes.
The presenting duo struggled to hold it together and laughed as they re-watched the hilarious video. Naga also admitted that it had been “tickling” her co-star, Ben.
Before sharing the viral clip so viewers could also see, Naga said: “This is the most watched video on the BBC News website this morning, it is tickling Ben. No, in fact, it has tickled all of us, here you go.”
As the news anchors started to laugh, Ben explained what was happening. He said: “So a pigeon flew into a man’s head as he went to the shops.
“I don’t know why this amuses me so much. Neither pigeon nor man were hurt, we should be really clear.
“This is Michael Spears, he’s from Nottingham. He described it as being like being sacked full pelt with a feathered pillow.”
Struggling to contain her emotions, Naga burst out laughing. Ben then added: “It was too good not to share.”
