Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins really is as tough as it looks.
Your Daily Star Sunday was invited to take part in a training exercise with the show’s instructor and it was one of the scariest things I’ve done. Show regular Foxy put a black bag over my head so I couldn’t see at all. I then had to walk for ages without any idea of where I was going or if I was about to bump into something.
It might not sound that bad, but it really was horrible. Then I was bundled into a van and driven for five minutes. After that there was more walking, a lot of it up steps, which was very strange.

But the worst moment was still yet to come. Suddenly I was told I’d be put into a harness and sent to walk across two beams. I freaked out but, just like the celebs on the show, I didn’t want to let myself down. After a while, I twigged the beams were probably a few inches off the ground. But even then I couldn’t be sure and worried I’d end up toppling off and dropping six feet.
I got through it with plenty of screaming and a bit of encouragement from show favourite Rudy. It turned out the beams were basically on the ground so this snap looks ridiculous. But trust me, the psychological challenge wasn’t easy. Needless to say, I wouldn’t last five minutes on the show.
Liberty X star Michelle Heaton, former MP Matt Hancock, TOWIE beauty Amber Turner and model Danielle Lloyd are just a few famous faces who’ve signed up to take on the gruelling selection process as part of the Channel 4 show. The group will abandon their glam lifestyles as they attempt to survive the most unforgiving jungle in the world, Thung Ui, North Vietnam.
No allowances or exceptions will be made for this group of celebrities, who will be tested to their mental and physical limits, through a series of brutal tasks and interrogations. By the end of the series, the celebrity recruits will discover if they have what it takes to pass this unique SAS selection course.
The new trailer shows Matt being pushed to his absolute limits as he returned to the jungle to take on a host of scary challenges and conquer his fears. He can be seen giving it his all as he crawled through muddy water while being shouted at in one military-style challenge as the course tested his resilience.

Matt, who appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year, also becomes embroiled in a tense physical fight in one scene as he was forced to prove his strength in one exhausting challenge. The former MP later gives a sombre expression sat on a table opposite the instructors in a dark room and was grilled by the DS in tense scenes.
Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returns on Tuesday, September 26 at 9.30pm on Channel 4
