Friends of singer and actor Joe Jonas have claimed to have revealed the “final straw” that ended his marriage to Sophie Turner.
Jonas, 34, had been married to Turner, since 2019, but abruptly put an end to the couple’s nuptials earlier this month. In September, Joe announced he had filed for divorce from the Game of Thrones actress.
Now, friends of Joe have unearthed the reason for his decision to split from his wife, thanks to his doorbell camera. Though innocuous, the reason was enough to tip the Cake By the Ocean singer over.

According to pals, Sophie had been heard bad-mouthing her husband to a friend of hers, which was picked up on their Ring camera. The source claimed to US Weekly: “It wasn’t anything more than that, but that was the final straw.”

The pair have been at loggerheads since Joe opted to file for divorce. Both Joe and Sophie have been in a bitter dispute as proceedings began, especially in regards to their two children.
Joe and Sophie share their daughters – Willa, three, and one-year-old Delphine, whose name was recently discovered in documents released by the courts. The girls had been staying with dad Joe for three months whilst Sophie was filming in the UK.

According to RadarOnline, Turner took legal action against her ex-husband, believing him to have abducted the kids and keeping their passports hostage. She also alleged that he was “refusing” to bring the children home.
Sophie also dramatically revealed that she had been shocked at the divorce, admitting she only knew about it after it had hit headlines. Jonas clapped back, adding that Turner had been aware of the proceedings.

The Jonas Brothers star also argued the kids were “American citizens”, which allowed them stay in the States. He added that if their mother wanted to stay in the UK permanently, he would be happy to ferry them across the Atlantic.
Both Joe and Sophie eventually settled on a temporary custody arrangement, as they try not to upset the children. Turner was papped with her children in New York City and reportedly “crashing” at Taylor Swift’s apartment in the city.
