Professor Green has shared one of his most embarrassing moments – and it involves a major star.
He chatted exclusively to us about the new British Gas campaign which he is currently promoting.
He told us: ” I once nearly knocked Tom Jones out with a toilet door. It was at what used to be Music Bank but the rehearsal studios and he went to pull the door open as I pushed it.

“He’s pulling and I’m pushing and then I said something really stupid and I was like’ You’re Tom Jones’ he pretty much just chuckled and walked away.”
Professor Green, 39, formerly known as Stephen Manderson, has been working hard with British Gas to help push their new project.
The talented and kind-hearted star said it was “incredibly important” for him to be working on such missions as he could relate to past debt issues from “growing up poor” when he was younger.
He has been busy supporting the British Gas Post Office Pop Ups, which provide access to free money and energy advice funded by the British Gas Energy Trust across the UK. If you’re struggling with the cost of living and your energy bills, find support via your local pop-up at: www.britishgas.co.uk/post-office-pop-up-advice
Talking about the new campaign, he said: “As a parent, your first instinct is to protect and provide, and when you’re doing everything you possibly can, and that’s still not enough, it has a profound impact on your mental health. Shame, stigma and fear can keep people from speaking up for help, but it’s the best thing you can do – for yourself, your family and your community. Stress and anxiety breed in uncertainty so I really encourage you to visit a British Gas Post Office Pop-Up or contact the British Gas Energy Trust to help you gain confidence in, and control of, your future.”
Since a successful pilot in May 2022, the British Gas Post Office Pop-Ups have been rolled out to more than 120 events across Great Britain. People who have attended Pop-Ups were reported to feel less stressed about their energy bills and more confident about how they were going to pay upcoming bills.
