The Chase fans swooning over ‘hot’ player as Bradley Walsh makes cheeky age dig

The Chase viewers were left swooning at their TV screens over a hot player, but host Bradley Walsh soon made an age dig.

The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Monday (October 2) as telly legend Bradley welcomed four new quizzers. As fans tuned in for the primetime programme, the former Corrie star introduced contestants Nick, Jane, Paris and Lucy before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.

This week the quartet were up against Darragh Ennis who made sure to bring his A-game against the wise quizzers. And it’s fair to say Nick got plenty of viewers talking at home.

The 30-year-old digital engagement manager from London made an impression with fans thanks to his good looks, with one person writing on X, formerly known as Twitter: “Easy on the eye so is Nick.” Someone else gushed: “Nick is hot.”

But things took an awkward turn when Bradley took a swipe at Nick over his age. Popping up on the screen, one question read: “Traditionally, it is good luck to shake the hand of a person with what profession?”

The options were, lumberjack, chimney sweep and milkman. Nick chose the latter – to which Bradley quipped: “You’re too young!” As Bradley guessed right., Nick was wrong.

The correct answer was Chimney Sweep – which Darragh guessed correctly. However, it seemed Nick had the last laugh as he managed to make it through to the final round with hefty £5,000. The only other players that managed to bag a place in the final was Welsh star Jane – who brought back £3,000. This made the total jackpot to play for £8,000.

In the last game, all eyes were on Nick and Jane as they tried to get as many answers as they could, in a bid to take home some of the £8,000. The pair managed to get 12 points correct.

When it was time for The Chaser’s turn, he managed to catch up to their 12 points with 24 seconds remaining. This meant Nick and Jane were sent home empty-handed.
