One said: “Disappointed but I can’t argue with the judges’ decision. They made the right choice.”

Amanda Abbington and Giovanni Pernice have had a rocky start to the show

A second agreed: “Sadly not much of a surprise, was expecting this.”

A third chipped in: “It doesn’t surprise me, the result. I like both couples, but the weaker dancer left… I hope the other person who stayed still has confidence – [they are] getting better each week.”

A fourth penned: “I had a feeling they were probably the least two popular left so wholly unsurprising.”

A fifth chipped in they were “gutted” to see who was in danger, with them adding that they thought they “still had a few weeks in them.”

A sixth moaned: “Why are my favourites always in trouble?”

The results of each week are determined by both the judges’ scores and the votes of the public once all of the dancers have performed in the live show.

Then the bottom two pairs must have a dance-off during Sunday’s show, where the judges vote to send one of the couples home, with head judge Shirley Ballas breaking any tied votes.

Strictly bosses are said to be furious about the leaks, and launched a probe to discover who was behind the spoilers each week, witha. source telling The Sun: “”nough is enough, it isn’t fair on the fans, they look forward to tuning in to see who will be dancing together.”

However, as this is the second result leaked, it seems the mole has no intention of stopping.

Strictly airs on Saturdays at 7.15pm on BBC1.
