Jonnie Irwin fans rally round as he admits ‘it was getting worse’ amid infection battle

Jonnie Irwin had fans rushing for support after he revealed he was suffering from a chest infection amid his cancer battle.

The former A Place In The Sun star, 49, was given just six months to live in 2020 when he was diagnosed with stage four lung cancer. The cancer then spread to his brain, and almost two and a half years later he publicly shared his diagnosis in December 2022.

Since then, Jonnie has been making as many memories as he can with his family including his wife Jessica Holmes. The couple also share three children, Rex, four, and two-year-old twins Rafa and Cormac.

“Probs should’ve stayed inside with my chest infection but would’ve got too much FOMO missing out on visiting uncle @maccaholmes allotment,” he penned in the caption. Jonnie went on: “Sometimes I need a push and seeing the lads enjoy picking some apples, and pumpkins was superb.
