The Chase’s Bradley Walsh floors fans over ‘weirdest thing’ to ever happen on show

The Chase fans witnessed what they dubbed “the weirdest thing ever” after host Bradley Walsh held a confrontational stare-down with a contestant on the show.

As player Zandro joined fellow competitors, Aimee, Clive and Deborah, in a bid to bag some cash on the ITV game show, he was first to take on Bradley in his quick fire round. After bagging £6k, the Italian player, who explained he was an avid drummer, faced off with quizmaster Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty’.

She told him: “I wasn’t sure if you were here to quiz or do “badum tsshh” after brads jokes.” Zandro then replied: “What jokes” before stating “badum tsshh”

A stunned studio began awkward laughing as a Brad began squaring up with the player. What followed was around 30 seconds of Brad pushing his face up to Zandro and giving him the evil and griding his teeth.

Fans dubbed in the “weirdest thing” Brad has ever done on the show. “#TheChase This must be the weirdest thing Brad has EVER done on the Chase,” penned one fan.

“Bradley gone mad what was that about? Lol,” said a second. A third added: “Brad straight back from the bar again,” and a fourth agreed: “AWKWARD The feck was all that?”

Zandro made it back to the podium with his £6k as fellow player Deborah also brought back £6k. Player Aimee wasn’t as lucky, having bagged just £3k in her cash builder round and opting for the £1k in the chase against the Governess.

She was soon caught by Anne and sent home with nothing after admitting she was totally overwhelmed by nerves. Even Anne interrupted the quiz telling her to relax and “breath”.

Player Clive was last up to the podium after bagging £5k in his cash builder round. Opting to fight for his winnings, he took on Anne and brought his £5k back to the podium, giving the team a nice £17k to fight for in the final chase.

The Chase airs weekdays on ITV1 at 5pm
