Married At First Sight UK star Luke Worley has explained for absence from the most recent E4 show dinner party.
The 31-year-old had previously hinted at Thursday’s episode (October 26), calling it a “must-watch.” However, he later took to his Instagram to share more details about why he didn’t participate in all of the dinner scenes.
Luke revealed that he had been admitted to the hospital due to “dangerously high blood pressure.” He expressed regret over leaving his bride, Jay, and mentioned that he wished he had stayed to protect her from those who might “take advantage” in his absence.”

Taking to social media, he said: “Heyyy.. I can’t watch tonight as I’m out for the evening…Just 2 things. “1. The reason I wasn’t hat the dinner party was because I had to leave to go to hospital as my blood pressure was dangerously high (stroke territory),” he proclaimed as fans wondered where he was.
He continued: “2. I wish I was there to protect @Jay_Howard! The thought of people taking advantage of her because they knew I wasn’t there and she was vulnerable. Makes my blood boil. In my vows I promised to protect her and I wish I refused to go to the hospital so I could have done that.”
Just a few days ago, Luke, who is married to Jay Howard on the series, gave viewers a tantalizing hint that Thursday’s episode was going to be quite a dramatic one, with his ongoing feud with Jordan Gayle taking center stage. Earlier in the show’s season, there were rumors swirling about Luke being removed from the program due to an alleged altercation with another groom.

According to insiders, Channel 4 executives swiftly made the decision to remove Luke from the show in the wake of this incident. The confrontation started when Luke confided in Georges about his marriage, admitting he feels as though his wife Jay is “people pleasing”.
He says: “I’m just a bit skeptical whether it’s going to come to a point where I’ll be walking all over her. I need someone to put me in my place a little bit.
“I’m just worried that she’s still people pleasing me in a different way. Like, she’s just letting me do what I want. “Like, if I wanted to go to a strip club tomorrow, she’d be like, ‘Yeah, go on.’ But deep down I know she wouldn’t want me to.
“I reckon I could go out, get a girl’s number and say to her, ‘Oh that meant nothing,’ and she’d be like, ‘Alright.’ Do you know what I mean? Which is wrong!”
Married at First Sight UK airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 9pm
