Liz Hurley, 58, slammed for bikini-clad pool snap with nod to Matthew Perry’s death

Liz Hurley has come under fire for posting a pool video so soon after the death of her pal Matthew Perry.

The 58-year-old actress recently paid a moving tribute to the Friends icon, who was reportedly found dead in the hot tub at his Los Angeles home on Saturday (October 28). Hurley and Perry starred together in the romantic comedy film Serving Sara in 2002.

But on Tuesday, just days after his passing, Liz posted a joyous video that saw her wearing a silver jeweled bikini and twirling around in the swimming pool.

The ageless actress looked incredible as she writhed around in the water and held back her hair seductively, at one point letting a stream of gushing water soak her. She described the setting as one of her “happy places”.

And in her caption, she appeared to reference the lyrics from the Friends theme tune, I’ll Be There For You by The Rembrandts. She wrote: “When I’ve had a tough day (or week, or month or…. year) I like to imagine myself back in one of my happy places.”

But it’s clear some fans were unhappy with the pool post given the circumstances surrounding her former co-star’s death. One wrote: “So you put a post up about Mathew Perry who drowned in a hot tub then the next day you put a post up with you posing in water!! Couldn’t you of waited a few days at least.”

Another agreed: “is she quoting the theme song as well? Confusing … and I never comment on this kind of stuff, but it all seems unnecessary to post even if coincidentally.”

Others defended Liz and obviously felt the criticism was unwarranted. One replied: “come on man, whats that got anything to do with that man? relax…”
