I’m A Celeb star Vicky Pattison is no stranger to an honest post – and she shared her thoughts with fans underneath a bikini post.
On Tuesday (November 7), Vicky shared a split snap of her posed in a leopard-print bikini, looking all glam, split with a candid no-makeup and unposed pic of her in her underwear. She compared the two pics and shared how she was feeling – in a bid to help her followers feel better about themselves.
Vicky captioned the post: “This is not a transformation pic, not a before & after weight loss pic, & I’m not trying to flog you a detox tea or something similar & equally problematic These pics were taken a couple of days apart. The only difference? I was on my period on the picture on the right & I’m not in the picture on the left…

“(oh & I’ve got an super supportive bikini on in the left hand side pic & an M&S nude spesh on the right) I look at these pics & I know the girl on the left is no more successful, kind, bright or funny than the girl on the right! Her boyfriend doesn’t love her more, she isn’t happier (I mean she’s less of a cow but that’s the hormones) ultimately She’s the same.”
She added: “But they aren’t viewed the same are they? One is celebrated & the other is shamed. Bodies are meant to change. All the time in fact. Not just over the course of the month but throughout the day! Bodies change, weight fluctuates & our shapes vary. That is perfectly normal. But sometimes accepting that is hard. Learning to be kind to yourself & appreciate your body for what it’s given you, rather than punish it for what it isn’t is hard.
“As someone who has actively hated my body for years, struggled with disordered eating, weaponised exercise & truly believed that my happiness was intrinsically linked to a number on a scale I know learning to accept your changing body & love the skin you’re in can be difficult. It took me til my 30’s to realise that there is so much more to life than having a thigh gap, a perfectly flat stomach or being a size 6 like cheese for example.”
The Geordie Shore star told her fans: “I urge you all to stop forcing your body to be something it doesn’t want to be, stop punishing it & stop letting these tiny little squares control how you see yourself. We’re worth so much more than apps, likes & how we look in a bikini. Our bodies do incredible things- especially as women & it’s time we stopped punishing ourselves for what they aren’t & start celebrating them for what they are and what they can withstand. Be proud of your period pot, your mum tum, your battle scars, your cellulite & everything in between- because they tell the story of a warrior. And that is pretty f**king incredible.”
