Big Brother’s Matty Simpson revealed he will returning to his real job after he soared to stardom on the reality show.
Over the past six weeks, fans have been gripped to their screens for the highly anticipated ITV reboot after six years off air. During the series, viewers quickly fell in love with the 24-year-old doctor who was booted from the show just hours before the live final.
Across the series, the hunk found himself in the middle of a love triangle between winner Jordan and Henry. He also formed close bonds with Trish and Olivia while completing a series of challenges on the show.

After the programme came to an end on Friday (November 17), fans have been desperately following their favourite housemates online. Since winning the show, lawyer Jordan has revealed his plans to stay in a five-star hotel with his co-star Henry with a well-deserved bottle of bubbles.
But not everyone is ready to give up their life before the ITV show. Speaking to Daily Star and other press, the self-proclaimed hippy shared his plans for the new year.
He told us: “Me and my boyfriend can’t wait to go travelling the world together. In two weeks, we’ll be off for seven months.”
But Matty reassured fans that he would be returning to his real job after travelling the world. He added: “I’m gonna be back working as a doctor in the summertime.
“I’m really excited to start back up at work. I love being a doctor, and I really care about people as I’m sure you’ve seen.”
The medic explained that despite signing up for the show, he never had any intention to become “famous”. He went on: “I really just went in the house for fun, for the experience of a lifetime, which I got.
“I always knew if at any point I felt like I completed my goals and I was ready to leave then I would. It all fell at the perfect time [when he was evicted] so I wouldn’t change anything.”
It comes after the hunk confessed that he was “traumatised” from his six-week stint in the famous TV house. Reflecting on his time on the show, Matty confessed he “couldn’t wait” to leave the show in the final week.
When he was asked if he would watch the series back when he got home, Matty confessed: “I don’t like watching myself back because it feels very Metaverse-y, like a matrix sort of feeling.
“I will watch it back eventually but I’m honestly too traumatised to watch it back. The amount of emotional scarring that place put into me, oh my god.”
He added: “Honestly, I’m traumatised from it. Like I say that in a jokey way because I’m so grateful for the experience, like I had a ball, just the best experience of my life.

“But I have quite a stable emotional state outside of this place and [the house] was putting you up and down, up and down every few days.” He went on to thank his friends and family who have been so supportive since the show ended.
The TV star gushed: “It’s been amazing! My boyfriend and my parents were all super proud of me. They’re both my biggest supporters.
“For an experience like this to happen to me and my family when we’re not involved in this world whatsoever has just been really like a dream come true. Especially coming out the other end and having really nice, positive feedback from people.”
