Fred Sirieux has hinted he may not row with Nigel Farage in the I’m A Celebrity camp – insisting he will have a “live and let live” attitude in camp.
The First Dates star is aware Brexit campaigner Farage will join him in the jungle and previous reports have suggested the pair are heading for a war of words on the show as Fred once branded the ex-UKIP boss in 2017 a “coward who likes attention”.
But asked how he will react if he clashes with someone in camp, Fred said: “I am a very honest and truthful person, and I think that’s the way to go and that’s the way I live my life. But we also have to live in very close proximity to each other. And, you know, I’m not going to solve anything while I am there, so I think it’s a case of live and let live.”

He added: “We have to remember I’ll be here for three weeks and I’m trying to have some fun. But, you know, obviously we will have to work at least together in order to get through this because it would be challenging. I think that dealing with conflict is something that’s difficult for any human being. It’s a question of being conservative. But also you see the wood from the trees and sometimes it’s better to deflect or just let it go rather than just tackle it head on.”
Fred had the perfect people to ask for advice before he came into camp, having made TV shows with 2009 winner Gino D’Acampo and veteran reality TV star Gordon Ramsay. He added: “Gordon called me. He told me ‘Fred don’t take any s***’. That’s what he said. And Gino’s obviously he’s been on it. He has been The king of the jungle.

“He said to remember, it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. It lasts a long time. And so you just have to just be ready for the long haul in there.” Fred also hopes to win like his pal Gino. He insisted: “I’d never undertake anything without wanting to win – I am naturally very competitive. You want to win and you want to win in the right way and have fun while you’re doing it.”
