Lorraine Kelly has been on our screens for almost four decades.
The telly star, who turned 64 on November 30, has been waking up the nation on morning television since 1984 when she landed a role as the Scotland Correspondent on TV-am and has since landed her own self-titled talk show on ITV.
She’s one of the most recognised faces on TV, which has left many people wondering what her life is like away from the camera. Lorraine has been married to husband Steve Smith for 31 years and they met when he was working as a cameraman on TV-am, and she knew he was “the one” from the moment she first saw him.

As Lorraine turns another year older, Daily Star has taken a look at her raciest confessions from over the years from her sex life with Steve to being branded “Little Miss Naughty” by Piers Morgan.
Sex life after menopause
Lorraine has been married to cameraman Steve since 1992 and says that her career hasn’t interfered with their bedroom time. Back in 2013, she told Star magazine: “You just make time – weekends and afternoon. That’s a very important part of any relationship. In 2021, Lorraine revealed that her sex life has been “toddling along nicely” after going through the menopause. She told The Mirror at the time: “HRT is brilliant. I put a patch on my bum twice a week. Within two weeks of starting it, I felt better.
“Steve said, ‘I’ve got you back again.’ I was lucky. Many women are misdiagnosed and packed off with antidepressants.” However, it appears that life improved for Lorraine in a number of ways after undergoing HRT. The presenter was told that people say your sex drive can drop off after menopause, but she replied: “That doesn’t necessarily have to happen and you shouldn’t accept that it will. For me, HRT helped everything toddle along nicely in that department.”
‘Little Miss Naughty’
Lorraine was branded “Little Miss Naughty” by her former ITV colleague Piers Morgan live on air after a cheeky exchange about his underpants. Good Morning Britain presenters Piers, Charlotte Hawkins and Susanna Reid were a study from the University of Lincoln, which found that Mr Men and Little Miss children’s stories were sexist. Piers rubbished the claims, but journalist Eleanor Mills argued that Roger Hargreaves’ characters – which were first published in 1974 – conform to patriarchal gender roles and branding women “bossy” can now be considered problematic.
Susanna was forced to diffuse the heated clash so that the pair could introduce Lorraine’s self-titled talk show. “She’s Little Miss Naughty because she’s been pinching my briefs,” Piers revealed. “I didn’t! I didn’t pinch them, it was a mistake!” Lorraine cried. Susanna, then stepped in to clarify what had really gone on. She said: “Lorraine, can we just point out for people watching that might think briefs are underpants. I don’t think you pinched Piers’ underpants, or did you?” :No, I’ve already done that. I got bored with that,” Lorraine joked. “Been there, done that.”

Earlier this year, Lorraine welcomed author Caitlin Moran on her famous sofa to discuss her book What About Men? and they addressed different things that men need support with, but one chapter saw something very unexpected. Lorraine said: “There was one very interesting chapter about willies, which I found utterly fascinating. You had to tell a fella that he was circumcised? He didn’t know what it was?”
Caitlin responded: “Yes! He had no idea. We were lying around afterwards and he wanted to know because men don’t get to see that many other willies, whereas we’re willy experts, we see quite a lot.” Lorraine, appearing very red-faced, was saying: “Yeah that’s true, that’s true,” before appearing to stifle back a laugh as she said: “Mhm!” in response to the comments.
Flexibility

Lorraine told Good Morning Britain star Ben Shepherd how “flexible” she was during a flirty on-air moment in October 2023 which left the pair both giggling on screen. Ben began the conversation with Lorraine by asking her if she could do the splits, after they had just been talking about Strictly star Angela Rippon, who became known for her impressive and flexible dance moves.
The host asked: “Lorraine, can you do the splits?” To which she replied: “Ben Shepherd you know how bendy I am.” Blushing Ben said: “I do, I do.” After Lorraine finished promoting what was on her show for the day, she joked: “I’m gonna go practise my splits, I might be coming from a hospital bed near you.”
Racy joke live on air
Mother-of-one Lorraine was left red-faced on back in 2021 when she accidentally made a sex joke live on air at the end of her ITV daytime show. The presenter was talking to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford about what was coming up straight afterwards on This Morning, when she unintentionally made the cheeky blunder.
Lorraine welcomed the duo onto the show, saying “They’re here very shortly, hi guys,”. Talking about what was coming up, Eamonn said: “Sex/Life Lorraine. Sex Life…not ours.” Lorraine chuckled and replied: “What’s that? That’s all behind me.” Loose Women’s Ruth then cheekily joined in, asking: “Behind me?” Lorraine was left red-faced and giggling at the exchange, as were Eamonn and Ruth.
