EastEnders fans reckon Reiss Clowell and Sonia’s Fowler baby dream is about to be ruined – with him set to face a shock from his past.
Reiss, played by Jonny Freeman, and Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) first arrived in the cobbles in 2022. As the great-nephew of the late Dot Branning (June Brown), Reiss quickly struck up a relationship with Sonia (Natalie Cassidy).
But in a tragic twist, it was soon revealed that Reiss was married and had a wife, Debbie. She was hospitalised in a long-term coma after suffering a stroke in the bath.

At first, Sonia was taken aback by dating a technically married man, but she soon changed her tune. The pair then started dating.

Their relationship has since gone from strength to strength, and they have even decided to embark on an IVF journey to have a baby. Broke, Reiss resorted to stealing money from wife Debbie’s bank account -something he failed to tell Sonia about.
Reiss came clean to Debbie though. Speaking to his come-induced wife, he told her would pay her back the money, claiming he had “borrowed” it.

And in episodes this week, the couple prepare for their next stage of IVF. With a romantic night planned, things soon take a dramatic turn when Reiss gets a call saying Debbie has a bad infection and may not make it this time.
But fans now reckon the pair’s baby dream could be over before it starts. Predicting a big twist, viewers are certain one of Debbie’s relative could arrive in the square – to cause plenty of drama.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “I wonder if one of the relatives of Debbie ( Reiss’s wife) will come to Walford before she wakes up to expose what Reiss has done with her money?”
Someone else replied and mused: “That’s the thing that has got me thinking. While it’s nice that Reiss is visiting his coma-induced wife, doesn’t she have other relatives – from her side?”
A third chimed in and discussed when Debbie could wake up from her coma. They wrote: “Debbie’s going to make a miracle recovery, isn’t she?”
The fan added: “Just in time to find out her husband is having a baby with another woman and has taken all her money.” Another viewer penned: “I reckon Debbie is gonna wake up and throw a spanner into this storyline.”
