Emmerdale star Danny Miller has been forced to quit social media after being body-shamed by vile trolls online.
The actor plays Aaron Dingle on the ITV soap – making his debut back in 2008. The character has become a fan favourite and viewers have grown to love him more over the years.
After taking a two-year break from the Dales, Aaron made a shock comeback last month. But since his return to screens, he has become the victim of vile online body-shaming.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, Aaron hit back at trolls who branded him “chubby” and “fat” – before deleting his account altogether.
Prior to his social media absence, Danny reached out to the troll to say he was “unbothered” by the comment. He said: “Say what you want about Aaron. He’s fictional, I play what I’m told to play.
“But please don’t think commenting about ‘Danny’ being ‘fat’ or ‘chubby’ will EVER bother me. I’m sat eating a greasy kebab AND a pizza, laughing at you whilst gulping a FULL FAT COKE you b******* [laughing face emojis].”
It comes after Danny issued a savage response to fans, who claimed they “didn’t like” his character Aaron, anymore. When he returned, viewers of the soap noticed Aaron’s violent outburst and change in behaviour – and it didn’t take them long to complain about his sudden and unlikable change in attitude.
But actor Danny responded to the viewer’s uproar over his character’s change. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “Aaron, I don’t like you at the moment (Sorry @DannyBMiller).”

The comment didn’t go amiss from Danny who replied to the viewer. He said: “Join the club. He won’t be like this forever,” and added crying with laughter emojis.
Another fan commented: “He can still bloody cry tho… Best crier on TV….,” with Danny replying: “Hahaha I’ll take that one Sandra.”
A third chimed in and penned: “I really hope you won’t be like that forever, but it just shows what a great actor you are, we went from loving Aaron to really not liking him at all. Great work, Danny.” Grateful, Danny expressed: “I’ll take that mate thank you.”
