From judge Motsi Mabuse’s sister to pro dancer Kai Widdrington’s brother – Daily Star has taken a look at the attractive siblings who happen to share their professional dancer brothers and sisters’ amazing genes.
Kai Widdrington’s brother Theo
Kai may no longer be in the 2023 competition after he and celebrity partner Angela Rippon were voted off but he can look forward to a family Christmas with his two siblings, one sister and one brother. Not much is known publicly about Kai’s sister, but his younger brother Theo is obviously talented and handsome just like his big brother.
Kai’s father Tommy, is a former sportsman who played in the English Football League, making over 372 appearances in his 15-year career. Tommy is no longer playing, but works as a manager. Kai, nearly signed onto a contract within the Premier League at the age of 12, but turned it down to instead pursue a career in dancing.
Unlike Kai, it seems their dad was a big influence on one of them as Theo went onto play football professionally and currently plays for Havant & Waterlooville FC.
Nikita Kuzmin’s sister Anastasia
With his brooding intense stare and boyish good looks, Nikita has amassed a fan following who swoon whenever he swings into action on the dance floor. born in Kyiv, Ukraine, Nikita’s family moved to Italy when he was nine years old.
Nikita has achieved great success as a dancer. Before Strictly came calling he lived in Frankfurt, Germany, where he competed on Let’s Dance, the German version of Strictly. But he has competition in the family.
Nikita has one older sister called Anastasia who is also a big respected name in the ballroom and Latin dance world. The stunning dancer is professional winner in her field and has competed on the Italian version of the show Ballando con le Stelle.
In 2012, she won the show alongside Andrés Gil. Since then, the champion has presented dance shows in Europe such as Ballando on the Road, Dance Battle and Happy Dance.
Any rivalry is good natured as Nikita and Anastasia appear to have a close bond and often take trips together. Maybe we may see her join the Strictly family in the future.
Oti and Motsi Mabuse’s sister Phemelo
Stunning sister duo Oti and Motsi Mabuse have a legion of fans. But the eagle-eyed among them may have spotted on their social media pages that the sisters share a third lookalike sibling – who was dubbed the “best dancer” of the three.
Their gorgeous sister is called Phemelo. The 35-year-old is the middle child of the family, but unlike her big sister and youngest sibling she shies away from the limelight as she works as a mechanical engineer in South Africa.
Motsi., 40, remains on Strictly as a judge, while Oti, 33, left at the end of 2021 to take up a judging chair on Dancing on Ice. However, their third sibling shares the sisters dancing prowess, competing at the World Dance Championships.
Oti told Jonathan Ross on his ITV chatshow: “To be honest, we have another sister, middle sister, she was the better dancer. She’s a mechanical engineer.
“She designs windmills which create electricity through wind in South Africa.” Proud Oti revealed how Phemelo won the South African title in Latin American & Ballroom as a juvenile, junior and youth, and went on to compete at world championship level four times, as well as teaching dance in Pretoria and Johannesburg.
Diane Buswell’s brother
Diane is dancing with EastEnders star Bobby on this year’s series. And lots of people reckon her brother Andrew looks very much like the dancer.
Last month, it was revealed she is going to be aunty for the second time as Andrew is due to welcome his second baby with partner Melissa, who live in Perth, Australia. They already share little girl Zofia.
Taking to Instagram, Diane said: “I can’t deal! You’re going to be the best big sis! I’m going to be an aunty to another beautiful niece or nephew!”
