ITV I’m A Celebrity’s Sam Thompson tipped for huge This Morning role after show win

Sam Thompson could land himself a spot on ITV’s This Morning after winning I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!.

The 31-year-old was crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday night (December 12), beating Tony Bellew and Nigel Farage. The Made in Chelsea star admitted he was “overwhelmed” by the win and was visibly emotional before he got his crown.

And now it looks like he could land a job on ITV’s hit daytime show. Bookies reckon Sam’s career is about to sky-rocket following his huge success on the show.

William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “Sam Thompson’s reign as King of the Jungle may still be in its infancy, but we’re already looking ahead to what lies in store next for the Made in Chelsea star.”

He’s got odds of 4/6 to appear as host on This Morning by the end of the year, with a TV team-up between himself and Tony at 3/1. “The I’m A Celebrity winner is meanwhile 8/1 to follow in his girlfriend Zara McDermott’s footsteps and take to the Strictly ballroom next year,” Lee added.

The Daily Star Sunday has learned there is set to be a “bidding war” over who lands his signature after the show for ongoing work – which could earn him millions.

A showbiz source said: “They know Sam is a star. The big bosses are all keeping a very close eye on what he does next because they see him as the next big thing.

“The wonderful thing about Sam is he is just unapologetically himself and that’s what people love. He is set to become a very very rich man when he steps outside that jungle life. And not just him, his girlfriend Zara, is expected to do well too, with them seen as the new power couple.

“We know ITV are already working behind the scenes on what they could offer Sam in terms of work and contracts in the hope of signing him up long term, but the BBC will be keeping a close eye too. He is a set to become Britain’s golden boy.”
