Barry Manilow fans have called for the superstar to stop having Botox following his third Christmas-themed TV special.
There have long been rumours that the singer has had significant work done and Barry’s followers were claiming he looks unrecognisable after taking his rumoured plastic surgery procedures too far. And some fans claim the singer’s appearance has changed drastically through the years as they pointed out he can hardly open his mouth due to his apparent cosmetic work.
Barry, 80, took the stage for an NBC Christmas special on Monday, performing some of his best festive hits during the show. But while the iconic singer wowed his longtime fans many viewers were distracted on something other than his singing and took to social media to ask what Barry had done to his face.

Writing on X, formerly known as Twitter, his critics pleaded with Barry to slow down on the Botox. “Barry Manilow needed to stop Botox a long time ago,” one critic wrote.
Another posted: “I love Barry Manilow – God bless his 80 year old self – but he has so much Botox in his face he can barely open his mouth.” A third viewer cruelly vented: “Not gonna lie this Barry Manilow Christmas is creeping me out. Got Barry lookin like the dude from Deep Space 9.”
There have been rumours swirling about Barry’s appearance for years. Four years ago in 2019, fans noticed that the star appeared frozen and expressionless as he left his Broadway show.
At that time he was reported to have been struggling in his personal life, and that his face was “oddly still” as he chatted with his fans. The one-hour show was filmed at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, which is the same venue at which the musician played his 637th show. Marked as the singer’s third Christmas-themed TV special, the music extravaganza featured classic Christmas songs as well as some of Barry’s better-known hits.
“It’s filled with great Christmas songs. I’ve had three Christmas albums out, so I could have gone on for hours because they’re wonderful,” the singer said preceding the performance.
“I actually figured out a way to put my own pop songs into the Christmas show, so even though I’m singing Copacabana, it always feels like a Christmas show.”
