Louis Theroux has revealed he’s shaved his entire eyebrows off – and fans soon reacted to his new look.
The TV favourite has been open about his battle with alopecia – which causes hair loss. Earlier this year the broadcaster told his followers he “probably” has the condition after experiencing hair loss in his beard.
Louis, famous for his animated facial expressions, then issued another update in November. He showed fans that his eyebrows had also been affected.

Now, the journalist has revealed he’s shaved both of his eyebrows off completely. Taking to his Instagram on Friday (December 15) Louis shared a slew of snaps as well as a video of him shaving his entire face.
Pulling a face for the camera, Louis showed off his eyebrow-less face, and in the video he could be seen rubbing a shaver over his cheeks, eyebrows and forehead. In the caption he wrote: “Can you tell what’s different?
“I’ve shaved off my eyebrows! I’m also thinking about getting microblading soon. In the meanwhile I figure no eyebrows is better than patchy eyebrows. Do you agree?” he added, along with hashtags of alopecia, no brows and no brows no problem.
Fans of Louis were quick to rush to the comments section to share their thoughts, with many rallying round the TV favourite. One person wrote: “Is this your Britney meltdown?” Someone else then added: “Everyone loves you with or without your eyebrows Louis.” A third also quipped: “Louis’ Britney moment. Let us pray for his safe passage through this period.”
Another fan chimed in and wrote: “You’re a wonderful human with or without eyebrows!”a fifth penned: “louis you are so much more than eyebrows As long as the passport thingo at airports still recognises you, you’re good to let it be!”
In July, Louis first told fans that he was starting to lose his eyebrows. He wrote in a post: “Oh jeez it looks like the alopecia has migrated up to my eyebrow.

“I realise you aren’t all awaiting every update on its progress but I want people to acclimatise to the new partially depilated me and not freak everyone out by suddenly appearing in public like a half-plucked elephant bird with no forewarning.”
He added: “So this is where we’re at. I’d really like to keep my eyebrows, but it’s out of my hands at this point… tho I have started taking vitamin d and something called biotin.”
