Emmerdale fans are all thinking that Chas Dingle and vicar Charlie Anderson will have an affair.
On Monday’s episode, 18 December, viewers tuned in to see the barmaid opening up to Vicar Charlie as they shared a drink together. While Chas explained she had been left feeling really lonely since her marriage breakdown to Paddy Kirk.
With the twosome looking very cosy and comfortable in each others company, fans have began to speculate that their romance will blossom over the next few episodes. With many expecting another affair on the cards for Chas.
Taking to Twitter – formerly known as X – online users all seemed to reach the same conclusion, with one person writing: “Do. Not. Tell. Me the vicar is going to cheat with Chas. #Emmerdale,” a second asked: “Not another affair for Chas #emmerdale, a third added: “The fact that Aaron is predicting exactly what is going to happen between Chas and Charles. I hope he’s the first to find out about their affair and throws it back in their faces #emmerdale.”

Last year, Chas’ dirty secret came crashing to surface after her now ex-husband Paddy discovered that his wife (played by Lucy Pargeter) had been having an affair with Al Chapman (Michael Wildman). With the vet confronting months of deception.
With history looking like it was about to repeat itself, Chas’ son Aaron shows up to rain on their chat in the back of the Woolpack. He is with his younger sister Eve Dingle who has been sent home from school unwell – with everyone unable to reach her mum.
Furious to find his mother enjoying a drinking session and chat with the vicar, Aaron unleashed a furious attack. Which lead to Charlie feeling the need to step in.
Charlie said: “Go home and have a think about your behaviour.” With Aaron – who is played by Danny Miller – hitting back: “Get stuffed you preaching git. She’s managed to wheel you in vicar. Looks like your Mrs might have something to worry about.”
The war of words didn’t end there with Aaron blasting his mum Chas as “a bit of a slapper.” Which was in reference to her past affair which broke down her marriage to Paddy.
Now furious, Charlie lunged from his seat telling Chas “no he’s not getting away with that.” Now out in the open in front of the Woolpack the Vicar demanded an apology from Aaron.
Refusing to do so, saw things turn tense as others at the bar had to intervene. Stopping an altercation between the pair.
