Piers Morgan has revealed why his wife Celia Walden was missing from the festive family snap he posted on social media.
The TalkTV presenter, 58, logged into X, formerly known as Twitter, account on Monday (December 25) to share a picture of him posing alongside his four children; Spencer, Stanley, Albert and Elise and captioned it: “Merry Christmas from the Morgan squad” and fans were left concerned as Celia was nowhere to be seen.
While many flocked to his post to wish the former Good Morning Britain a happy Christmas, others were keen to know where his wife was. Addressing her absence, Piers replied to one fan: “Sick in bed, sadly.”His reply prompted get well soon messages in the comments section, as one wrote: “@piersmorgan tell her we send love and Christmas Cheers Piers!” A second urged him to look after Celia and went on to wish the family a Merry Christmas.

Piers’ oldest son Spencer gave a further insight into the family’s festivities in view of his 46,000 Instagram followers. Taking to his Story, he shared a short video of the Christmas dinner set-up as Piers stood next to the table on his phone. In the clip, the family’s huge Christmas tree could also be seen with many presents placed underneath. Piers’ eldest son went on to share a picture of the pair smiling for the camera as they each held onto a beverage.
For the occasion, Piers dressed smart in a shirt, trousers and jacket, while Spencer changed from a suit to a Christmas jumper which featured the words: “Snowflakes moaning all around me.” He captioned the picture: “Merry Christmas from us and the world’s greatest christmas jumper.” Piers shares his three sons with first wife Marion Shalloe, who he was married to from 1991 to 2008. Two years later, the journalist tied the knot with current wife Celia and together they share daughter Elise.
Piers’ latest social media post comes after he reacted to a comparison of him and the Central Park Pigeon Lady from Christmas movie Home Alone 2 on Sunday (December 24). One of his Instagram followers shared a picture of the iconic character on his page and wrote: “@piersmorgan back on our sets.”
Reacting to the comparison, former newspaper editor Piers expressed his anger by sharing multiple angry face emojis on his story. It’s not the first time the father-of-four has hit back about the so-called resemblance. One fan who watched the classic on Christmas Eve, took to X and wrote: “Watching Home Alone lost in New York and forgot Piers Morgan has a role in this film.”

In response to the playful comparison, Piers wrote: “It’s. Not. Me.” followed by two angry-faced emojis. Another user @EverGrowSam added to the joke, commenting: “Never seen you in the same room, Piers, just saying.” A third chimed in: “There’s a suttle likeness.. Just saying.”(sic)
