Kanye West has finally apologised to Jewish people after he made horrific remarks about their community a year ago.
The 46-year-old rapper caused outrage after making vile comments about Jewish people last year, at one point claiming he was going to “go death con 3 on Jewish people” on X, formerly Twitter.
He was subsequently banned from X and Instagram after his outbursts and lost his lucrative sponsorship deals with Adidas and Balenciaga. Initially, he refused to back down, but it seems he’s had a change of heart many months later.

Ye has now deleted all of his Instagram posts and offered an apology to the Jewish community. In a single post written in Hebrew on Instagram on Tuesday (December 26), he wrote: “I sincerely apologise to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions.
“It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused. I am committed to starting with myself and learning from this experience to ensure greater sensitivity and understanding in the future.
The Through The Wire star added: “Your forgiveness is important to me, and I am committed to making amends and promoting unity.” Social media users were divided by his apology.
Some welcomed the statement, with one writing: “A Christmas miracle.” Another was surprised and commented: “I didn’t see Kanye apologising on my bingo card for 2023, especially after last week.”
But others were skeptical, claiming he was merely doing it for personal gain. “He’s doing this so companies/labels let him drop the album,” wrote another user in the comments.
Back in October 2022, Ye tweeted: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti Semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda.”
He also denied the Holocaust happened and praised Hitler’s “redeeming qualities”. Now Ye seems to be returning to music as he’s got a new album – Vultures – featuring Ty Dolla Sign – being released on New Year’s Day.
