EastEnders hunk James Bye suffers horror accident as he splits head open

EastEnders star James Bye split his head open onstage while performing in the beloved pantomime Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The BBC soap star, who has played the role of loveable rogue Martin Fowler since 2014, completed the show despite suffering a major injury in the very first scene. His co-star Rhiannon Chesterman took to her Instagram Story to share the news of the actor’s injury online.

She wrote: “Look at our brave Prince @jimmybye! Split his head open in the first scene, carried on and decided to ‘make a thing of it’ so strapped up his arm for good measure. #Trooper.”

The dad-of-four re-shared the post on his own account as his loyal legion of fans showered him with well wishes online. It appears as though the TV star was embarrassed by his onstage blunder as he added an awkward emoji.

It comes after James and his doting wife Victoria welcomed their fourth child earlier this year. Announcing the arrival of their little tot, the new mum took to Instagram where she confessed she suffered a “drama-filled” labour.

She wrote: “After a long induction, a long labour, lots of ups & downs & all the drama along the way (oh don’t worry, I’ll be filling you in on everything…) our hearts are near to bursting with the arrival of our precious baby boy.

“I just can’t believe I have him, here, in my arms, safely home and ours to keep for always. It still hasn’t sunk in… I’m definitely still in shock and I still can’t believe he’s mine.”

The proud parents later revealed that they had named the newborn baby Rufus Gray. Their other sons are called Edward, Louis and Hugo.

Sharing the little one’s name, Victoria penned: “Rufus Gray… 18.06.23… 8lb 1oz. Hello little Roo xx You’re here… Our new little Bye…

“You kept us waiting for such a long time little one, but oh wow were you worth the wait. We’re absolutely over the moon, smitten kitten and just head over heels for you.

She went on: “Our precious little rainbow… and boy have you brought the sun with you. (Like seriously, we’re all melting). And erm, check out the hair! A little styler like your brothers already.

“It’s safe to say. We’re just in love. This first week has been a whirlwind of you. It’s safe to say. We’re just in love.” The loving mum, who regularly share frank, no-holds-barred insights into parenthood online, said it had been a “long old journey to get him.”

It’s fair to say the blonde bombshell relished every moment with the newest addition to the family, delighting fans with adorable snaps of the little man online. Over the years, James and Victoria have been honest about their fertility struggles after Victoria was diagnosed with endometriosis
