Blake Lively’s raunchy threesome scenes were more “awkward” than they seemed on camera – as the actress had to be “naked in front of 40 people” on set.
Ryan Reynolds’ wife stripped down for the 2012 film Savages, alongside Taylor Kitsch and Aaron Johnson. The drug fuelled epic saw pot growers Ben and Chon forced to face down a Mexican drug cartel who kidnapped the girlfriend they both share – O, played by Lively.
That includes a sexy menage a trois scene, which Blake confessed was plain “awkward”. She told TooFab at the time: “It was definitely really challenging because, you’re on a set with 40 people and the boys are standing there naked. That’s always a little awkward.”

Taylor explained: “A lot of sexual improv was going on there,” before echoing Blake’s feelings that the scene was “awkward” to shoot. He added: “I knew Blake I think three, four days really. That was the first week of shooting.

“I was just glad it was over with, to be honest. It’s a pretty intense reveal, no pun intended. It’s all part of it and I was glad it was in the first week.”
Speaking more about the scenes, Blake went on: “I think some women think one is enough but that’s what was nice about this movie. You would think it would be, it’s normally the guy with the two women.”
The Gossip Girl star joked that it’s “not the sort of office work [she] signed up for”, branding the scenes “intense”. She said: “They were very intense and very scary and we shot them on the first day and I mean if you don’t feel comfortable with a person after that it’s going to be a long road. It was lucky that we got to do that first ultimately because we really bonded.”

But speaking on whether she’d actually be down for a threesome in real life, Blake said “definitely not”. Chatting to Access Hollywood, she said: “[O] is juggling two men. The three of them are in a relationship and they’re happy, and they all know about each other and they’re all equally in love. The boys love each other as much as they love the girl, which I find interesting.”
She was then asked: “It’s not what you would look for in a normal boyfriend, right?” as Blake replied: “No, no, no. Definitely not, that is a little too complicated!”

Thankfully Blake has been happily married to Wrexham FC owner Ryan Reynolds since 2012, after dating her Gossip Girl co-star Penn Badgely for three years. She welcomed four children with Reynolds – James, Inez and Betty, along with a fourth baby whose name has not yet been revealed.
The pair struck up such a close friendship with Taylor Swift that she named characters in songs from her Folklore album after the kids, including the titular track Betty.
