First Dates viewers were left fuming at their screens as they realised the latest episode was in fact a repeat .
The hit Channel 4 show returned for an episode on Tuesday (January 9). With Fred Sirieix back at the helm, fans were hoping to see a brand new batch of Brits looking for love.
But within minutes, fans clocked that it was a repeat episode from 2017 and not a latest episode from the new series that started last week. And viewers were not too happy over the shake-up.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “WTF! So there’s no showing of the 2nd episode in the new series. Was looking forward to it all night. Thanks.”
Someone else fumed: “What? The new series is an old repeat?” A third quipped: “What the hell! What’s happened to the new series?”
Another chimed in and penned: “When you wait all day for a new First Dates ep in the new restaurant and it’s canceled seconds before 10pm, why do we want to see a repeat, thought Channel 4 was canceling shows to make new ones!”

On the repeat episode, dental nurse CeCe, 22, went on a date with 23-year-old DJ Collins. The beauty admitted she had never had a boyfriend, and looked nothing short of sensational for her date in a low-cut purple dress.
The brand new series of First Dates, that started last week, has seen the show undergo a huge change. Instead of the usual Manchester restaurant that is used for filming the dates, the show has relocated to Bath.
In last week’s first episode, The Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Lauren Simon went on the show to look for love but found embarrassment instead, when her fate failed to recognise her. She told her date Charles that she “grew up in Cheshire” before he replied that he was from Manchester, with no nod to her TV show.
“So, what do you do? What’s your thing?” he quizzed. With confidence, Lauren replied: “I think you know what I do.” Looking startled, Charles said: “I have no idea, why would I have guessed?” As Lauren responded: “What, you have no clue?” Charles shook his head and added: “There’s a story there right?”
