Margot Robbie enjoyed a big sniff of a candle made from ‘semen bathwater’ on the red carpet – after confessing she was ‘titillated’ by her raunchiest film of 2023.
The Barbie star produced Emerald Fennell’s drama Saltburn, which starred Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi as two Oxford University students who become entangled in a bizarre plot of jealousy and eroticism when Oliver Quick (Keoghan) is invited to stay at Felix Catton’s mansion for summer.
One scene that quickly went viral saw Oliver watching Felix as he pleasured himself in the bathtub, only to sneak over and slurp up the water and bodily fluids as it drained down the plug hole. Now a candle made up of the scents is up for sale online – and fans are going wild for it.

When she was presented by one of the makes by Entertainment Tonight at the Golden Globes, Margot Robbie couldn’t believe her eyes, as she gushed: “I haven’t even seen it yet, that is amazing!” before giving it a big sniff.
Margot then said: “Mm, smells just like Jacob Elordi’s bathwater. Super accurate.” Her Barbie co-star America Ferrera also gave it a whirl, agreeing with Margot on its accuracy.
The candle is now on sale on sites like Etsy and Amazon – it’ll set you back around $40. One product description promises: “There’s nothing quite like the smell of a quality candle, particularly when that smell is inspired by Jacob Elordi.”
But fans were more worried about how Margot knew what the bathwater smelled of – as Saltburn star Rosamund Pike flat out refused to smell the candle. One X user wondered: “Why do they keep asking actresses about this What’s going on??”
Someone else giggled: “Whyyyy? And how does Margot know about that I’m CRYING.” While a third social media user echoed: “Can’t believe Jacob’s bath candle made it to the Golden Globes before me.”
Margot previously opened up about the bathtub scene, telling Variety: “It didn’t feel that shocking in the script, because Emerald immerses you into a world so quickly. She’s so masterful at tone and plot; she gets you into it so quickly — you’re just immediately like, ‘I’m in this world.’

“So by the time you get to something like the bathtub scene, she’s primed you for it. She’s got you. You’re, like, picking at a scab; you’re like, ‘I can’t help myself.’ Or like popping a pimple: ‘I know I shouldn’t squeeze but I’m gonna.’”
Margot said she felt “disgusted” by parts of the film – but was equally “titillated”, and “shocked” at “finding that depravity” in herself. She explained: “She gets in your brain and she kind of taps into the most depraved parts of it, so that you’re complicit in the story. That’s the water-cooler moment — the thing that people are talking about two weeks afterwards.”
