Coronation Street’s Sally Ann Matthews has received an outpouring of support from co-stars and fans after sharing the sad news of her uncle’s passing.
The actress, who first appeared on the Cobbles as Jenny Bradley in 1986, took to Instagram to share: “Today we said goodbye to Uncle Derek. A packed crowd for a wonderful man. He’d have hated the fuss but would’ve loved every single person there x.”
Her fellow Corrie stars were quick to offer their condolences, with Sally Carman writing: “Sending you so much love, Sal.” Andy Whyment also sent his love, while fans flooded her post with messages of support and sympathy.
