Good Morning Britain’s Charlotte Hawkins was left gobsmacked as her co-host revealed her knicker blunder live on-air.
The ITV show returned for another instalment on Friday (January 19) with Charlotte and Ben Shephard back at the helm. However, things soon took an awkward turn.
On the show, Charlotte shared her fears after staying in a hotel. She said: “When I leave a hotel room, I am one of these people that checks, double checks.”

Charlotte added: “I have this fear of leaving something behind and that’s it, it’s gone forever.” However, co-host Ben, couldn’t help but reveal an extremely “embarrassing” story that left Charlotte “mortified.”
“Charlotte once got changed behind a curtain and left all of her gear,” he said. Ben added: “Including all of her underwear, and someone had to go and get it and send it back to her.”
Gobsmacked, Charlotte exclaimed: “What?!” He then went on to say: “So once you’ve done that once, you have to sort of panic, there’s no going back from that.”
It seemed Charlotte wasn’t too impressed by Ben’s comment. She said: “I’m regretting telling you that story earlier this morning that I wasn’t necessarily going to share with people. If I had done, I might’ve toned it down a bit!”
Ben revealed: “The stage manager that had to go and fold up all your gear including.” Red-faced, Charlotte added: “I was so mortified!”
She then said: “Also they had folded it in a little neat pile for me, including my pants sat right at the top, which was so embarrassing. But look I’m not the only one, people leave a lot of things behind in hotel rooms!”
