A Place in the Sun and Escape to the Country presenter Jonnie has been living with cancer since 2020 after he was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. In 2022 the condition had spread to his brain which prompted him to go public with his diagnosis.
Since sharing his health battle with fans, Jonnie, 50, has continued to keep his online followers up to date with his journey. Earlier this week, the presenter revealed that he was back in hospital and heading for an MRI scan.
Sharing a snap of himself in hospital, he wrote: “This is look of a man who’s not slept for 6 nights and awaiting a full body MRI scan of at least an hour. “If you haven’t had one they’re claustrophobic and claustrophobic and omit loud random noises. Joy.
“Take note on attempt of a jaunty not on my gown! I’m expecting to come out to news of India all out 195! #alwaystrying #mri #livingwithcancer #nhs.”
Seeing his honest post, fans headed to the comment section to wish him well. One follower wrote: “Stay strong, Jonnie! I’m keeping you on a worldwide prayer list and keeping you in my prayers, too! Sending so much love!”
While another said: “We’re thinking if you Jonnie. Hope the scan went well and we hope you sleep well tonight.”
On Friday (January 26), the father of three appeared to be in a much perkier mood as he was now out of hospital. Sharing a video on Instagram Jonnie gave his fans an update on his recent home improvements which included his new windows in one of his rooms.
