Only Fools and Horses legend Sir David Jason wants to break Hollywood at 83.
The Del Boy actor has sent out a ‘come and get me’ plea to Tinseltown’s top producers so he can complete his career dream.
Reflecting on his glittering UK TV career, the British icon said: “I try not to look back too much. “The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there, but I couldn’t be happier with how my career has turned out.

“One of my ambitions is to be part of a major movie, as that would complete my dream of a Hollywood experience. Any producers out there?”
Sir David said he hadn’t seen Rodney Trotter co-star Nicholas Lyndhurst in Frasier but – despite rumours of a rift between the pair – added: “I haven’t seen the reboot of Frasier yet with Nick Lyndhurst, my old co-star from Only Fools and Horses, but I’m sure he will have done a great job.”
In a Q&A, he revealed he loves escaping to his shed in the garden of his home in Buckinghamshire mending things. And he will soon star in a show with The Repair Shop host Jay Blades called the Touring Toolshed where they travel the nation mending household items.
Sir David added: “We’re on the same page when it comes to repairs, restoration and all things creative.
“When I used to restore motorbikes I’d spend an awful lot of time in my shed polishing and fixing.
“I have a Fifties pinball machine that needs restoring, so that will be my next project. I listen to Radio 4 in there, or sometimes I just like the peace and solitude.
“My passion for fixing things came out of necessity. Growing up, we didn’t have the money to pay for repairs. I’m of the “waste not, want not” generation. If we can fix it, we should.”
