Bez loves starring on Celebrity Gogglebox because he gets free booze.
The Happy Mondays star, 59, can get any tipple he wants from producers. It makes filming episodes of the Channel 4 show with bandmate Shaun Ryder, 61, his dream job.
He told the Daily Star: “Celebrity Gogglebox is a great show to do because they ply you with whiskey and Guinness. And then all you’ve got to do is talk loads of rubbish.

“It doesn’t get better than that. It’s just watching TV!”. Bez and Shaun are up for returning to the show for this year’s series.

They’re ready to sign on the dotted line if producers ask them back. Bez said: “If they ask us back, we will do it. Me and Shaun never say no.
“We’ve been practising for years but the words just never come from our mouths.” Starring on Celebrity Gogglebox has made Bez and Shaun a hit with a new generation of fans.
Every time they appear on the show, they are swamped with messages of support on social media. Bez said: “The reaction we get to the show is amazing.”
Bez starred on Dancing on Ice back in 2022, where he was eliminated in musicals week after losing the skate-off against Corrie star Sally Dynevor. He admitted he felt bad for staying in the show longer than other celebs such as Ben Foden, Ria Hebden and Rachel Stevens.

He told The Sun: “I feel so awful for everyone, like Ben. He skated brilliantly and he was really strong, doing massive lifts on his first skate. I felt really bad.
“Then Ria went out and I felt really bad again. Then Rachel went and she’s so beautiful. I was like, ‘Aarrrgh!’ We’ve got a group chat and I send my love and that in there.
