David Beckham joked he “still needs to wear a bib” as he dined out in style on a trip to Seoul, South Korea.
The former England captain headed to the Far East nation at the weekend to take part in Adidas’ 30th anniversary celebrations of their iconic Predator football boot. Launched in 1994, Becks signed a sponsorship deal with the sports brand and promoted the boot and its later models throughout his illustrious career.
The 48-year-old also took part in Adidas’ Predator 24 launch event at its flagship store in the city – before heading outside where he was met by scores of fans hoping to get a glimpse of their hero. Later in the day, David visited Seoul’s Golden Pig restaurant, where he documented his meal on Instagram.

Tucking into his “Korean BBQ”, Becks found himself surrounded by pork bellies, kimchi, sauces, spring onions and herbs and spices – but made sure he protected his designer gear with a bib.

“Still wearing a bib at 48,” he joked alongside a snap in which he laughed as he held his chopsticks. At just £11 per portion, his meal was a far cry from his trip to Barcelona last week, which saw him eat out at the city’s top seafood restaurant, Botafumeiro.
There, the ex-Manchester United star was spoon-fed eels by the eatery’s boss and also enjoyed percebes – which cost around £400 per lb due to their scarcity. After holding one up to the camera for another Instagram shot, he wrote: “One of my favourite things to eat when in season in Spain. Soooo good! Gracias.”

In much cooler climbs, David sent his fans feral after stripping down for an outdoor ice bath earlier this month outside his family’s Cotswolds home. As part of his “Self Care Sunday routine” video, he could be seen in just a pair of white briefs and an orange beanie hat as he shivered in sub-zero temperatures.
He captioned the clip: “Self Care Sunday. 3 degrees in here today, perfect for a Sunday rest day. @victoriabeckham can I get a HOT CHOCOLATE with a Nespresso shot sorry. Victoria just said ‘what’s the magic word’. PLEASE.”

His wife Victoria then appeared to duly oblige, as she joked in response: “As you asked so nicely and are just wearing your tighty-whiteys.” And she took the fun further by sharing a snap of her husband with his hands by his crotch with the caption: “Keeping his hands warm” – followed by a walnut emoji.
