Simon Cowell was forced to miss a string of auditions for the new series of Britain’s Got Talent.
The show boss had to pull out at the 11th hour due to illness. After arriving at the London Palladium for filming, he developed a killer headache and didn’t feel well enough to work.
An insider told Daily Star: “Simon was due to film as normal but he started to feel unwell. After some deliberation, he told everyone he was unable to take part in filming.

“To say he was frustrated was an understatement. Simon loves making Britain’s Got Talent, so he was annoyed that he had to miss filming.”
Simon’s last-minute exit meant his fellow judges Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli had to continue without him. Many of the acts were left heartbroken when they realised they weren’t going to be performing for all four of the panel.
My insider added: “The hopefuls were left waiting for quite a while. Then they realised they wouldn’t be auditioning for Simon.
“Many of them were upset about it because he’s the one they wanted to impress.” The incident has been a headache for producers.
It means Simon won’t feature in some of the new series. The insider said: “Simon is a ratings winner, so it’s not ideal that he will be missing from a decent chunk of the footage.”
