Holly Willoughby reunites with former This Morning co-star for ‘cosy’ meal

Holly Willoughby has reunited with one of her former This Morning co-stars – four months after sensationally quitting the ITV show.

The 42-year old stood down from her presenting role in October 2023 after a plot to kidnap and murder her was foiled by police. She remained away from the public eye until January, when she made her triumphant television comeback on Dancing On Ice with her new co-host Stephen Mulhern.

On Wednesday, meanwhile, the mum-of-three dined with This Morning chef Clodagh McKenna, who shared an insight into their evening together on Instagram. And showing their relationship remains a strong one despite no longer being colleagues, Holly shared a snap of their night herself.

On October 10 Holly sensationally quit This Morning herself as she revealed she “will not be returning” in a heartbreaking decision she shared with her legion of fans online. Taking to Instagram, she wrote: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning. To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so, so much.

“This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you. Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers.

“You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said, ‘We only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of it’s story and I know this story has many chapters left to go.”
