New reality show is ‘worse than Naked Attraction’ as stars have threesomes on TV

A new programme already has fans in uproar – and it hasn’t even properly kicked off yet.

Landing on streaming service Peacock this week (February 8), Couple to Throuple looks to pair existing couples with singles looking for something a bit more exciting. The show encourages polyamory between four “curious couples” who head to a remote tropical resort.

There, they’re able to mingle with 14 singletons – plenty of whom already have experience in polyamory. With bedrooms specifically designed to fit three people, host Scott Evans and relationship expert Shamyra Howard are on hand to dish out advice to the contestants.

Along with some very steamy scenes – including lots of licking in a swimming pool, as seen in the trailer – stars are given one final choice in the end. They need to decide whether to commit to becoming a throuple, leave as a couple, or stay single.

The show aims to “test [stars’] threshold” for seeing their partners with someone else. In one episode, one half of a couple has to sit by as the other is straddled, licked, sucked and kissed by the third person. Thankfully everyone has a safe word for if they want to halt proceedings.

Peacock promises of the series: “With three times the fun, the feelings, and drama, these relationships are put through the ultimate test to see if they are the perfect match.” But fans are already branding it “messy” and “more extreme than Naked Attraction”.

Executive producer Katy Fox told the Hollywood Reporter that the cast were all warned they’d be getting up to some raunchy things on camera, however. She said: “We were really up front with everyone beforehand about what the show was all about, and the fact that they were being filmed 24/7.

“The cameras were in all the rooms apart from the restrooms, so I think everyone went into it knowing that. They were prepared and ready to share their whole journey, every bit of it.”

Fellow producer Tom O’Brien said: “We were really up front about what they could expect, really open about how it might be thrilling, exciting, but sometimes a bumpy ride, just to absolutely check that their hearts were in this for the right reasons.”

There’s already been plenty of reaction to the new show on social media, with one X user writing: “Couple to Throuple is exactly as messy as it sounds, and I will be glued to my screen for every second of it.” Another agreed: “Yeah this show is probably about to be a hoot.”

“Couple to Throuple on Peacock… what did we do to deserve this show?” someone else wondered. Another social media user said: “Couple to Throuple on @peacock is gonna be the next Naked Attraction, I can feel it in my PORES.”
