Below Deck’s Courtney Veale has unlikely friendship with ITV presenting royalty

Below Deck icon Courtney Veale has revealed that she became friends with one famous ITV star after a heartfelt message.

The reality TV personality told Daily Star: “My new bestie, Denise Welch, she’s a big Below Deck fan. She started following me and I screenshotted it like: ‘Denise is following me!’ I followed her back, we were messaging, we went for coffee [last year]. We were literally meant to have just one coffee, we were sat there for like, four hours. We were chatting about everything! We’re honestly like, the same person, just 30 years apart.”

She explained: “On the actual show, the craziest [memory] was the show I did, season six. Well, I say that – I don’t really remember the crazy stuff! I was so drunk! It was just wild. People think that doesn’t happen on boats but it really does. Every boat I go on is mental, it’s just crazy the whole time.”

Veale and her co-stars spent a lot of time partying on Below Deck

“We went out, we got an AirBnb in Split (Croatia) for the weekend, it was amazing. That was a pretty wild weekend […] we just partied the whole time! Yeah, basically. I have a few drinks and I can’t not dance. Even if there’s no music on! As soon as I start dancing, the twerking happens.”

“It all just happens, one after another really. Every boat I’ve ever been on, I’ve been known for twerking. I nearly got fired off one because I kept twerking on a night out and the Chief Stew said it was a distraction!”
