Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver turned heads at the Broadcast Awards, looking unrecognisable after her three stone weight loss.
The glamorous star, who plays Eileen Grimshaw, posed with co-star Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew) for a snap shared on the soap’s official X account, formerly known as Twitter. Fans were quick to compliment the actors, with one saying: “How do you both look younger now than you did 10 years ago!!!” Another added: “You both look great! I didn’t recognise you.”
Daniel also shared the picture on his own account, praising his stunning co-star. He wrote: “My date for the night. The gorgeous @officialsuecleaver. Heading into the #BroadcastAwards.” Coronation Street was nominated in the Best Soap/Continuing Drama category at the awards.

Coronation Street’s Sue has impressively lost three stone after quitting booze. The telly star told The Sun: “I went on HRT about a year and a half ago and realised I should have done that about five years ago.
“I was walking around in a bit of a fog and then I literally made some massive changes.” Sue admitted she gained “a lot of weight” by drinking wine during lockdown. She added: “Then I did dry January and I thought: ‘I wonder what life would be like if I stopped completely?'”
The glam icon emphasised that she isn’t someone who obsesses over diets or regularly weighing herself, telling Prima Magazine in March 2023: “I lost some weight in the jungle, but I’m not obsessing over diets: life is hard enough! There’s always going to be outside pressure and unfair expectations placed on women, but I refuse to get pulled into it.”

“That’s why I’ll never promote anything weight-related, and it’s why I’d always compliment somebody on their smile or outfit, rather than their weight.” Sue, who was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes revealed her fifties have been the happiest ten years of her life.
