Denise Richards felt “uncomfortable” shooting a “threeway” for her hit Hollywood film Wild Things – as she feared her dad would watch.
In the iconic scene, she ends up in a threesome with her co-star Neve Campbell and Matt Dillon, who play Suzie and Sam in the movie’s wild pool scene. Denise’s character Kelly starts off fighting with Suzie in the pool, before things descend into a decidedly more erotic moment.
In one saucy discussion on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Rinna asked Denise: “What’s it like to shoot a threeway?” as Erika Jayne chimed in: “Are we talking about threesomes? Thank god there are no children present. Tender ears.”

Denise then confessed to her gal pals: “It’s uncomfortable. We did a lot [of takes]. It’s weird but you just have to commit. I will say this: When it was just [Neve Campbell] and I, it was easier because you just feel like you’ll protect each other and you know different things you don’t want, that kind of thing.
“But the other part of it that wasn’t easier with that scene was knowing that people on the crew were, ‘Oh, two girls are kissing.’” She was then quizzed on what her parents thought about the scene, as Denise admitted: “I told my mom the part because I didn’t want my dad obviously to see me in that situation.
“So I told my mom we were coming up so she had him leave the theatre and she left with him too. He wouldn’t want to see his daughter that way anyway. When I did Wild Things that was a tough decision for me because I was raised in a very conservative family and went to church every week. I was raised Catholic, I was a good Catholic girl.
“My mom was actually the one that said, ‘If you feel this is something you want to do for your career then you just do it.’” She didn’t want her children to see the racy scene or “have that visual”.
She said: “I didn’t think back then, ‘Sh**, I wonder one day what my kids are gonna think.’ I really would’ve changed a lot if I did that.” Denise added in an interview: “I just said, ‘I would appreciate if you didn’t watch it’.
“It’s not age appropriate and it was a movie I did, it was a script I loved, it’s me being creative. I definitely did not give them a copy [of the film]. I told them, ‘I don’t want you guys watching this’.”
